Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

There are 110 miles of exquisite desert hiking trails in this, the second largest state park in the lower 48. The park features native palm oases, desert bighorn sheep, slot canyons, Native American history and more – along with no-fee, dispersed wilderness camping in nearly all of its 600,000 acres.
