Originally from Iowa, Lisa lived briefly in Minnesota before following her husband to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 2007. The lush green mountains and gray, rock-strewn beaches of Washington ignited a love of the outdoors, and she's spent the last eight years indulging her new passion by traipsing around the state’s abundant trail system. When not hiking, Lisa works as a veterinary receptionist during the day, a photographer on the weekends, and a writer whenever (and however) she can. Other outdoor activities that make her giddy are snowshoeing, kayaking, and camping (in a tent, not a decked-out RV). Her hiking partners include her husband of 10 years, Chris, and her lab/shepherd/chihuahua pup, Lindy.
