If there’s anything that will make you want to pack up your car and high-tail it to Yosemite National Park in the morning, it’s Yosemite Nature Notes. Steven Bumgardner’s incredible series just hit its 14th episode, and this time he set his sights on one of the park’s more ephemeral features – Horsetail Fall.
The cascade itself only appears when the region has the right amount of snow – and then for two weeks in February, when the light hits it a certain way at a certain time, the waterfall glows a brilliant red against the slate gray Yosemite rock walls.
I could try to keep describing it, or just let you watch the video instead. Apologies in advance for the cost of gas for the drive up north!
