With the Williams Fire now at 69% containment, things are starting to look pretty good for the San Gabriels again. In honor of that – and in the Modern Hiker Facebook Page hitting 2800 likes (!), I’ve decided to hold a little contest.

Fall is just around the corner – or, if you’re in school, it’s already here. I want to know which hikes you’re most looking forward to doing in the fall – whether it’s for cooler temperatures, a little taste of foliage, or just an excuse to get some post-hike pie at the Mount Baldy Lodge.

I’ll pick my five favorite entries, and the winners will each receive a code good for one free download of the Modern Hiker iPhone App from Escape Apps.

Just leave your most anticipated fall hike in the comments below and make sure you sign in with an email so I can get in touch with you if you win. The contest is open until 11:59PM Pacific Time on Sunday, September 9th. I’ll announce the winners later in the week.
