The guys at Icebreaker wool might be getting lonely during the kiwi winter, because they just announced a contest to win a free trip to New Zealand – and all you have to do is try on a shirt or two.
The merino wool wizards are offering free airfare for two and a guided adventure tour of New Zealand to anyone who tries on an Icebreaker merino wool garment through July 15th at Adventure 16 stores throughout southern California until July 15th.
You don’t need me to tell you that New Zealand is awesome, but I will anyway.
Look at that! And that’s not even anywhere special – just a little lake off the side of the road in a national park. Awesome. (side note – I will try to get the full travel essay experience posted soon).
I was always a little put off by the price tag on Icebreaker wool, but I got my hands on some while I was in New Zealand and I’m now a full convert. You can literally wear the same shirt for days while backpacking and not have to worry about soaking it with sweat or smelling it up with hiker funk. They dry quickly, they keep you warm, they breathe easily, and they’re pretty rugged to boot.
You don’t have to buy anything to enter the contest, but if you do, you’ll be entered twice! And after you enter you’ll get an email coupon for 20% off your next Icebreaker purchase, which I believe could make your entire trip to A16 a win-win-win-win situation.
