… if you’re not hiking, of course, which I’ll assume you are. But hey — you’ve got to come back into town SOMETIME. And maybe you’ll want to spend more time near some warmth, what with that arctic blast headed our way and all.

I found two options on the west side this Saturday:

If you’re still up for hiking, but also want one more dose of that Hollywood Magic before you head off for your holiday destinations, the folks at Outdoor LA are hosting a free bus trip to Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains. The bus leaves from downtown’s new Vista Hermosa Natural Park at 9AM and returns at 4. The Paramount Ranch was used as a backdrop for films and television from 1927 through 1997, and is now part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Tour the sets and check out some of the hiking trails surrounding the property.

If you’re more about shopping and want to show up your Whole Foods Friends, drop by the Eco Gift Festival at Santa Monica’s Civic Center, from Friday through Sunday. You’ll be able to pick up everything eco-friendly baby products to recycled fabric sportswear and bamboo everything.

Green LA Girl has the hot tip on how to get tickets for the entire weekend, which include access to an afterparty with a DJ, appetizers, and organic beer and wine!
