If you’re looking for an opportunity to pitch in with some local trails and don’t feel like actually leaving the city, you’re in luck this week! The California State Parks Foundation and Volunteers for Outdoor California have begun work on the trails at Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook and they could use your help.
The trails in the area were damaged by the rainfall this December and crews have already started working on repairs – and a second work day is planned for Wednesday, June 29th from 9AM to 2PM. On-site training and lunch will be provided. All you have to do is register at the Park Champions Program web site to let them know you’re coming and you’ll receive more info.
The CSPF is also holding a core volunteer training on Tuesday June 28th from 9AM to 2PM. For more information or to sign up, send an email to [email protected].
