If your Friday isn’t already taken up with Halloween duties (anyone going as a Park Ranger?) and you were looking for something a little more low-key to do, perhaps you’d like to do a bit of stargazing in the Santa Monica Mountains?
At 7PM on Friday, October 28th, the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority is hosting an evening of star-gazing at the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Reserve in Ventura County.
The 2-hour program will be led by a volunteer astronomer and includes a short half-mile hike from the Victory Trailhead. Park admission is $3. For more information, call 310-858-7272 ext. 131.
