The Angeles National Forest is currently being blanketed with a healthy layer of snow, and with some more snow scheduled to hit for the next few days, it might be a good time to head up the Angeles Crest Highway for a few snow angels and snowball fights.
LAist has posted a short interview with one of their Flickr photographers, who went up near Newcomb Ranch yesterday afternoon to snap some amazing pictures.
If you plan on heading up there, be sure your car has 4 wheel drive and snow chains, and be prepared for the potential of disappointing road closures. Check road conditions before you head up at the ANF web site, or call CalTrans at 1-800-427-7623. Might be a safer bet — the web site is usually slow to update.
