Photo Friday – April 25, 2014

Yes, Photo Friday is back! After a short hiatus while I got my boots dirty on the other side of the planet, I came home to find some more fantastic photography from Modern Hiker readers.

It looks like spring was on the mind, as a lot of you submitted pics of flowers in bloom.

First, reader Ryan Cheney snagged this little yellow flower along the Bear Canyon Trail. It’s looking good with the San Gabriels behind it, no?

San Diego Contributing Writer Scott Turner spent some time in the Pacific Northwest recently and snagged this shot of the Green Lake Trail in Mount Ranier National Park.

Lloyd Tanner got this stately image of California Poppies – and don’t forget, the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve has some great blooms right now!

And finally, I know it’s not wildflowers, but this shot of Carlsbad’s Flowers Field by Tarun Verma really caught my eye.

Thanks again for all the great contributions!

Don’t forget, if you do decide to submit to the Flickr Pool (and I hope you do), be sure to allow me embeddable sharing privileges so I can post them on the site with a direct link-back to your original image. I’ve wanted to use some awesome photos recently but haven’t been able to embed the images!
