If the day on the calendar starts with the letter ‘f,’ that means it’s time for another Photo Friday.
It’s tough to make cacti look cuddly (unless you’re looking at cholla), but Keri Zehm‘s shot near Riverside’s Box Springs Mountain does a fantastic job of it.
Mikey Le hiked to Cucamonga Peak through rain, snow, and hail to get this epic (and surprisingly energetic) summit photo above the clouds.
SoCalHiker‘s Jeff Hester snapped this beautiful sunset shot from Runyon Canyon, proving that you should never overlook a trail just because it’s close or popular.
And finally, we have another fantastic sunset shot from Sumisu Yoshu of L.A.’s famous Wisdom Tree. That lone survivor looks even more epic set against the blazing SoCal sky.
Thanks again to everyone who submitted to the Modern Hiker Flickr Pool! I’m taking next week off while I’m in Jordan with Columbia Sportswear, but keep those photos coming because I’ll be doing another one as soon as I get back!
