Tomorrow is National Get Outdoors Day – and the Angeles National Forest is celebrating by offering a Fee-Free Day to celebrate.
All day on Saturday, June 8th, no Adventure Pass will be required in the Angeles National Forest – and if you want to chip in and give back on this day, you can join up with Operation Super Canyon Sweep, too – volunteers will help clean the North, West, and East Fork of the San Gabriel Canyon from 8AM to 3PM. Anyone who’s interested should meet at the San Gabriel Canyon Off-Highway Vehicle Area on Highway 39 just 2 miles north from the San Gabriel Reservoir at 8AM. You’ll be bussed to various points of the river to clean up 15 miles of streambed. Lunch, bottled water, suntan lotion, and trash bags will be provided.
Hope you get out to enjoy the day (and maybe give a little bit back to the land, too!)
