The National Parks Foundation, the nonprofit parks advocates chartered by Congress, has released the 2009 version of its National Parks Owner’s Guide.
The free 75 page PDF is an exhaustive resource on our National Park System, and is chock full of information – including a directory of camping areas, fees, and ranger programs for each park; contact information for each park – including web sites; an up-to-date list of fees; tips on when to visit and what to see; and full color photos and maps.
It’s not only great for finding out more about parks that are already on your to-do list, but also for finding those lesser known units of the Park Service that might be right in your backyard.
Download the PDF file at the NPF’s web site.
