While I was reminding myself of what the Carrizo Plain National Monument had to offer, I stumbled upon a section of the USGS that offered a nice phototour of the park – in 3D.
Much to my surprise, I also found the USGS offered 3D imaging of dozens of other National Parks and Monuments, ranging from modern red-and-cyan tinted images to remastered versions of stereoscopic images from the late 1800s:
… not really something I ever expected to find on the USGS site, but it’s a pleasant surprise!
