If you’re looking for another great spot for springtime wildflowers, the Carizzo Plain National Monument is a good place to head.
I went there last year as part of a wildflower tag team with Pinnacles National Monument, and while I found the Plain to be desolately beautiful, there wasn’t that much of a flower show when I was there. However, Calipidder made a trek to the Monument recently, and had a much better show.
She’s got a post up with over 130 outstanding photos of California wildflowers that is well worth your time. Go and gawk, and then start planning your wildflower trip before the season ends!
