It seemed like every time I looked up in the sky this weekend, I could see a new plume of smoke rising up from another wildfire.
In addition to Friday’s Sepulveda Pass Fire, blazes broke out in Coldwater Canyon and Rustic Canyon, spurred on by our triple-digit temperatures.
Firefighters did a remarkable job in that heat – as of Sunday evening, the Coldwater Canyon Fire and Sepulveda Pass Fires were completely contained, and the Rustic Canyon Fire was 80% contained. No structures were damaged or civilians injured, and only a handful of firefighters suffered minor injuries.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the 90s throughout the week.
