The guys at Trailspace are doing a nice wrap-up of the Outdoor Retailer event right now, and one of the products they chose to highlight came from the Kodiak Cakes booth.

Obviously, a company called Kodiak Cakes isn’t going to be making any lightweight LED green waterfilters or whatever, but they sure as hell are going to make some delicious, delicious pancakes.

At OR, they were gearing up to introduce a “Stir ‘n’ Pour” version of their pancake batter, which comes pre-measured in a compostable container. Like their mix, you just add water and stir … except this one’s all measured out for you.

Honestly, since the regular Kodiak Cake mix is already “just add water,” I’m not sure how much of a help this would be to backpackers — but hey, if it gets more people eating Kodiak Cakes, I’m all for it. That stuff makes for a killer breakfast!
