Well, the June Gloom is just about gone and now our temperatures are hovering in the 90s during the day, it’s time to end our June(ish) Gloom Contest.
We asked you to show off your Modern Hiker gear in a photo on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and we got some great submissions. Here, in no particular order, are our top three winners:
Everyone’s Favorite Hiker was the first to submit his entry – and not only does the shirt look snazzy, but he also had to explain to his wife why he was taking a selfie. Major points for that.
Jeff Hester not only runs a top-notch hiking site of his own, but he and his wife double-repped on a full moon hike in Griffith Park this month. Thanks for the synergy, guys. They just came back from a trip on the Lost Coast Trail and I can’t wait to read about their adventure!
And finally, TheLittleCrown snapped this awesome scene with her recently adopted pit/mastiff on a training hike for Mount Whitney near a nice patch of California buckwheat.
