The secret is almost out.
We’ve been hard at work behind-the-scenes on our Crowdfunding Campaign and we’re inviting you all to join us at Golden Road Brewing on Saturday, August 15th for our official kick-off.
Now we can announce that as part of our month-long campaign, we’ll be hosting group hikes all across Southern California as part of our Campaign Trail 2015 event.
Hikes in the San Diego area will be led by the one and only Scott Turner, longtime contributor to the site and co-author of the upcoming edition of the much-loved Afoot and Afield in San Diego County hiking guidebook. Trails in the Los Angeles area will be led by yours truly (and maybe some of the other Modern Hiker staff, too!).
We invite you to join us at one of these hikes to learn more about our plans for the site’s future and meet your fellow Modern Hikers. All events are free, although donations are accepted and will go to supporting the site’s planned expansion and upgrades. Space is limited but all hikes will have waitlists available in case something fills up.
