If you want to do a good hike while doing good, you may be interested in joining up with the team at The Heroes Project.
The group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping injured veterans reach the summits of the world’s seven highest peaks, and they’re doing a fundraising hike at Mount Baldy on Sunday, April 14th. I know it’s late, but there’s still time to register as an individual, team, or to sponsor a hiker who’s already on board.
Hikers will be treated to breakfast and dinner by the always tasty Tender Greens, and depending on how far up the mountain you get, you’ll pick up some gold coins that you can trade for prizes at the end of the hike! The hike is all-ages and all levels, although you should be aware the hike is pretty strenuous and there may still be some ice and snow on the trail.
Have fun, get some good exercise, and help a veteran – that’s a good way to spend a Sunday, right?
