The seventh annual Great Los Angeles Walk is set to hit the sidewalks this Saturday, traveling from downtown L.A. to the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica.
For those unfamiliar with this event, it’s a leisurely, go-at-your-own pace walk down one or two major thoroughfares. It’s not necessarily a guided tour and you can hop on or leave whenever and wherever you like, although they usually have some fun activities planned along the way.
The group is meeting at the Walt Disney Concert Hall at 8:45AM on Saturday, November 17th and will start the 17-mile walk promptly at 9AM. It’s free, but they do ask that you RSVP on their Facebook page so they have a good head-count. You can also follow the group after they start on Twitter to hop on later in the afternoon.
For more information, head to their FAQ page for this year’s route – and if you’re going, leave the hiking boots at home and just wear good sneakers instead. Your feet will thank you.
