For those of you still debating on whether or not you want to submit to the whims of the Mount Whitney Permit Lottery, you may want to check out some great photos of the mountain just posted by photographer Kurt Lawson.

Kurt was up on Whitney the same days I was last year, and took advantage of the cool weather and exceptionally clear skies to capture 49 photos, 2 360-degree panoramas, and this time-lapse video of ant-like hikers crawling up the 99 Switchbacks:
