The web curators over at Urlesque have put together a small compilation of what they call “Virtual Reality Hiking” – first-person perspective videos of hikers on dangerous and harrowing treks around the world.
Some of the videos – like Spain’s El Camino Del Rey – have been around for a while, but that doesn’t make watching them any less terrifying. Others, like the Hua Shan plank walk in China, might actually make you dizzy when you watch.
Be sure to check out Urlesque for the rest of the videos, which include stints in Grand Teton National Park and a trek across the Tatra Mountains from Slovakia into Poland … and be glad your feet are firmly on the ground while you’re watching.
