I’ve written about EveryTrail almost since it started up – I still think it’s one of the easiest, most powerful free web applications for outdoorsy GPS-enthusiasts to track and share their trips with others. Their mobile apps are terrific and always improving and – in full disclosure – I write some guides for them … so you know it’s gotta be good, right?
Anyway, the site has started organizing some of those downloadable guides into geographic areas, including Best of California and Best of Los Angeles pages. There are guides for just about everything, from single trails to multi-day backpacking trips and even hiking / driving tours of entire mountain ranges.
You can check out the guides on the web for free, and download them to your iPhone or Android phone for 2 bucks.
