You may remember the bear-shaped sleeping bag by artist Eiko Ishizawa from earlier in the year. That piece is still, sadly, not for sale – but if you want to get over your crippling fear of bears by having something bearish and useful in the home, might I suggest this bear-shaped beanbag instead?

This medium-sized hand-knit grizzly beanbag looks just like the real thing, except it won’t startle you after rounding a bend on the trail or eat any food you haven’t put in a bear box overnight.

It’s being sold by the artist on Etsy, a great handcraft site that is very easy to lose a lot of time and money on – consider yourself warned. It’s usually $159 plus $20 for shipping, and is currently on sale for $135.
