The reader-submitted photos keep pouring into the Modern Hiker Flickr group – and continue to impress!
Here are some more of my favorite submissions so far – and great motivation to get you out onto the trail this weekend!
Lloyd Tanner submitted this beautiful reflection in Timberline Lake on the John Muir Trail, just near Guitar Lake.
Longtime reader Raphael Mazor also sent in some pics from the Eastern Sierra – this one of some aspen fall foliage in Bishop Canyon.
Nathan and Katherine have submitted a lot of really, really great photos so far – but this shot of a family hiking together on the Channel Islands really captures this “spring is in the air” feeling in L.A. right now, don’t you think?
And finally, you all know I have a bit of a soft spot for the desert – and now that temperatures are on the rise we’re running out of time to comfortably explore them until the fall. John Lorenz‘s shot of the Eureka Dunes at sunset will make you want to drop everything and head into the Mojave. Just don’t forget to pack water!
I really love seeing all the great photos Modern Hiker readers get on their adventures – and I love sharing them even more. Keep the great shots coming and I’ll keep spreading the word!
