Zocalo Public Square is an idea-junkie’s heaven – it’s a great series of lectures, essays, videos, and all sorts of things to get your braingears cranking on a variety of topics. And now, I’m proud to say that Modern Hiker is a small part of that community.
As part of an upcoming lecture by Cheryl Strayed on her journey on the Pacific Crest Trail, I was asked to write a short essay on the importance of solitude and how I find it here in the city. Today, my contribution was published alongside a few other great writers, and you can head over to Zocalo to read them all.
