This weekend, the Angeles National Forest has scheduled two last-minute events for those interested in giving a little something back to our wilderness.
On Saturday, the Friends of the Angeles will be working on West Fork Campground, clearing weeds and brush, repairing picnic tables, cleaning up the campground, and more. The event lasts from 9AM to 3PM, and volunteers should meet at the Sunland Ralph’s at 10455 Sunland Blvd. Tools will be provided, but wear work pants, sturdy shoes, gloves, hat, and sunscreen and bring your own lunch and water.
Starting on Sunday and continuing through September 26th, volunteers will be removing invasive species along the Angeles Crest Highway from 8:30 to 2PM. Meeting place and clothing requirements are the same as the West Fork Event.
