The village of Otira is up for sale for $1 million (NZ), and includes a hotel, fire station, town hall, 18 houses, and 44 residents. The town is perched in the middle of Arthur’s Pass National Park and is often snowed in and unreachable during the winters – but when’s the next time you’re going to get the chance to buy a town in one of the most beautiful places on earth?

Oh, and if you do end up buying it, you have to let me visit.
