I just got word that the TreePeople will be meeting at the La Canada Flintridge YMCA at 2PM this Saturday, March 20th to discuss Station Fire recovery efforts.
Right now, the event isn’t listed on either the YMCA or TreePeople calendars, but I just got an email from one of the organizers that the event will “address the condition of the forest and the direction (the TreePeople’s) efforts will be going, as well as how to get involved.”
As I mentioned earlier, I had a great time at their San Bernardino training session. I don’t think there will be any planting lessons at this meeting, but it’s a good way to find out where you can direct your eager volunteerism until the Angeles National Forest is officially opened up to reforestation crews.
