Well it looks like we’re in for another unusually hot weekend here in mid-March, but we’re still hoping these excellent Photo Friday submissions will get you inspired to fight the heat and get out on the trail.
First up is frequent contributor Josh, who lets us in on a standard hiking conversation I think we’ve all experienced at one point or another.
Airryy took a trek to one of our favorite places in Southern California – the Devil’s Punchbowl – and hiked out to the Devil’s Chair for a killer view of some very strange terrain.
Philip is Lost took a group of friends up to Mugu Peak for an extra patriotic salute on the mountain top.
And finally, Lisa Cox took her puppy up to Mount Woodson and – despite spraining her ankle on a jump shot before – did another one on Potato Chip Rock. We salute her enthusiasm!
