nullToday marks the 2nd birthday of Modern Hiker. As we say in the online world, “w00t!”

So far, this little one-man operation has totaled 378 posts, written up detailed descriptions of 56 hikes around L.A., and introduced the Southern California wilderness to over 100 thousand sets of eyeballs since those bygone, simpler times of late 2006. And, unlike most projects I get involved with, I didn’t lose interest after a few months!

Thanks to all the hikers who’ve visited over the past two years, offering advice, corrections, and their own hiking experiences. Here’s to more posts, more hikes, and many more miles!
